Moving houses can turn into an emotional event. The thought of leaving the ‘known’ to the ‘unknown’ can be tough on some people. However this doesn’t have to be the case. You may want to do your research on the neighbourhood so as to familiarize yourself. Here are some ways to get this done:
Get clicking
With technology literary at your fingertips, searching online should be your first move. Visit Twitter, Facebook and Instagram; see what people are assaying about the neighbourhood. It will give you a rough idea of what to expect.
Staycation
Check in to a restaurant that’s nearby the neighbourhood you plan to move to. This will give you a chance to get a feel of the place.
Involve your children
If you have children, take them to the neighbourhood and let them tell you what they think about it. Children are brutally honest, if they don’t like you’ll definitely hear of it!
Take a walk
There are several ways to do this. If you have a pet, take it for a walk as you observe the surroundings. Take a trip to local attractions such as, church, library and gym.
Just ask!
If you still feel you need more information, just ask the community members. Tell them you’re thinking of moving to the neighbourhood and ask them what they think of the area!
